House rules

- It is absolutely NO SMOKING in the buildings and dispose of cigarette butts on the ground outside. Please place butts in the earthen pot on the terrace and empty it into the rubbish bin at the end of your stay.

- Attach the shutters to prevent them from rattling.

- Sanitation of the house works with a lift pump. This breaks very easily if anything other than toilet paper and organic matter is put down the toilet. Tampon strings, wipes and sanitary towels are particularly harmful to the pump impellers and must be disposed of in the rubbish bin.. If you don't, you risk ruining your holiday with foul smells and a hefty repair bill.

- Using the wood-burning stove (between October and April) Wood is available in the courtyard to the north of the living room.

AttentionA wood-burning stove is not started in the same way as a fireplace. You first need to light a few small pieces of wood to warm up the flue (the height of the pile should not exceed the row of small holes in the wall at the back of the stove). Once this first fire has got off to a good start, you can add a large log. Tip: Only add one log at a time or you will get too hot. The stove heats up slowly but very strongly.

To empty the ashtray at the end of your stay To remove the ash pan: Wait until the stove is cold, open the door under the stove using the handle, remove the ash pan like a drawer, empty it into the receptacle provided for this purpose under the canopy, replace the ash pan and close the door.

Bins

The various bins are in the small building in front of the terrace. Please put your bins there before leaving the gîte. Selective sorting is compulsory (view poster). Packaging must not be placed loose in the bin but in the yellow bags provided.

  • Black-lidded bin: household waste in a bin liner
  • Yellow-lidded bin: packaging in a yellow bin liner provided
  • Green-lidded bin: loose glass bottles and containers (without corks, caps or lids)
  • Crate: paper, letters, sheets, loose advertising leaflets
  • Compost: organic waste (peelings, eggshells, coffee, tea, etc.). The compost bin is at the bottom of the garden near the plant purification unit.
