Cycle to the Donjon de Bazoges
A 25km loop through the bocage to Bazoges, where you can eat and visit the keep and its medieval garden.
You can also follow the "De Pareds et de Loing" signposts from Mouilleron-en-Pareds. The route to follow is shown on this PDF.
1- Leave the gîte on the white track. At the T, turn left and then right onto the road.
2- After the house in the woods, take the gravel path on the left.
3- At the end of the road, turn left and then right.
4- Take the first right
5- After 400m, turn left at the crossroads with a grass triangle.
6- At the end, turn left.
7- At the STOP sign, turn left.
8- After 180m, turn right.
9- At the crossroads, continue to the left.
10- After 4.4km, turn left at the stop sign.
11- After 100m, turn right. You will soon see the Donjon de Bazoges on the left and a dolmen in a field on the right.
12- After 3km, turn left at the bridge.
13- Climb up to the Donjon de Bazoges (800m) and visit its gardens, church, forge...
14- To set off again, retrace your steps but turn right towards Les Ouches.
15- After 1.7km, in the hamlet of Pâtis, turn right.
16- After 150m, take a sharp left.
17- After 600m, turn right at the STOP sign.
18- After 200m, turn left.
19- After 700m, turn left (signposted cycle path).
20- At the end, turn right and follow the road to the right.
21- After 1km, turn right at the fork.
22- After 1km, turn left at La Gralière.
23- At La Rechinière, turn right.
24- Follow the same road as the outward journey for 3km, turning left at the STOP sign.
25- Then 180m to the right .
26- After 450m, turn right (1st right after the hamlet of la Caraillère).
27- Take the second turning on the left (500m). .
28- After 1.5km, turn right and then left at the T-junction.
29- Go straight on for 1km, then turn left towards Les Etrebières.
30- You've arrived!
